SignTrax used around city streets

SignTrax systems are being used by Cyndi Christensen, CBD Development Manager, Lower Hutt City Council. Her long term project is the rejuvenation of the Hutt City central business district. Her role was created to work with business owners and business owners in the CBD to create a humming, economically strong city centre that enriches the lives of the Hutt City residents. She felt SignTrax would help in the communication of the many events planned by the council.

Thirteen initial SignTrax sites were chosen outside cafes involved the Councils ‘Sweet As’ Hutt's Hot Chocolate Challenge. This event, in its third year, founded by the Hutt City Council as a way to inspire local cafes to be creative and attract people to the Lower Hutt CBD.

SignTrax was easily installed onto existing lampposts and the eye-catching signs quickly identified the cafes’ partaking in the promotion. They were actually in use throughout the huge storm we had last week and survived without damage – the fibreglass re-enforced signs are designed to spill the wind.

Of the event Cyndi says, “It’s a great opportunity for people to get out of the house over winter, try out new cafes they otherwise wouldn’t have usually frequented and to bring family and friends together socially over a delicious hot chocolate! It also gives participating businesses in the Hutt Valley participating a real boost in terms of customers and exposure.”

 SignTrax upgrading existing signage

SignTrax is being used by Damon Simmons, Traffic Assets Manager for the Lower Hutt City Council following their introduction of PayMyPark, a new parking payment system that makes parking easy by using a smartphone to pay and manage your parking.

PayMyPark is simple, timesaving and convenient and like all great new ideas (like SignTrax! J) it just needs more people to know it exists!

Damon had the great idea of using readily changeable signs next to existing payment terminals to introduce PayMyPark and to communicate various messages to the thousands of people using the parks daily. He was aware of SignTrax following its recent installation around the Lower Hutt CBD and felt it would be perfect for this purpose.

SignTrax promotes Lower Hutt City Council’s new PayMyPark system and also provides easily accessible media space for the promotion of future events planned by the council.

SignTrax was simply installed by removing the old sign poles and replacing them with our NEW SignTrax Signpole.  The SignTrax Signpole incorporates our patented track system designed to display one or two low-cost plastic signs or flags that can be installed, removed or replaced in seconds from the safety of ground level.

SignTrax makes changing messages safe and easy -  signs to be changed within seconds from the safety and convenience of ground level using a special security key       

SignTrax Signpole is available in several heights with a choice of surface or ground mounting options for new sites, or it can be easily fitted into the many thousands of existing sign pole ground mounts that currently display standard 60mm diameter poles.

By choosing the SignTrax solution, the Lower Hutt City Council now is able to introduce PayMyPark to motorists, explain how to use it, and at the same time display several other public notices and promotions as and when required.

Where there was once a clutter of different shaped signs pointing in different directions, the new SignTrax System is a simple, elegant and professional looking display that motorists and passers-by will learn to keep an eye on as they spot new signs and new messages being displayed.
